Latrine slabs (squatting plate)

Description

The squatting plate or latrine slab is a polypropylene modular component that fits on pit latrines, shallow or deep trench, to support access to sanitation services in humanitarian emergencies.
As required, the removable cover can be either an articulated hinged cover or a drop hole cover
Raised foot placement area to prevent slipping
A pan/bowl or water-seal trap can be installed on the underside of the squatting plate, if required.
Fastening can be made by bolting or by means or other secure mechanism. This option is chosen when a connection to a septic tank or to a sewer network is possible or planned.
